At Brilliant Smiles Orthodontics, in Missouri City, we believe that your first orthodontic visit is your most important one.
The first visit to a doctor’s office can sometimes seem intimidating, especially for kids. But, your first visit to Brilliant Smiles Orthodontics will be completely painless.
You’ll be welcomed by our team, introduced to board-certified orthodontist Dr. Chiang, and shown around our office.
Our highly-trained, orthodontic treatment coordinator will then take some digital photographs of your teeth. If necessary, an X-ray. These images are the best way for us to see your teeth and jaws.
After reviewing your records, Dr. Chiang will join you in a private consultation room to discuss your individualized and unique treatment plan. Dr. Chiang will point out specific areas of concern and show you what kind of corrections you can expect by showing photos and videos of similar cases.
He will take as much time as you need to answer your questions and decide what kind of treatment is best for you. Dr. Chiang and his assistant will then walk you through the process. They’ll explain everything – from scheduling to expected discomfort levels, to finances and payment options.
Our goal is to make sure that no question goes unanswered.
Start Your Braces the Same Day
The orthodontic treatment process involves a series of orthodontic visits. We value the relationship that we will build with you and your family throughout that process and want you to be confident that you are receiving the best orthodontic care possible.
Once you feel like we've answered all of your questions and concerns, you can even start your treatment that same day.
That means you can get your braces on! We value your time, and we know you want to make the most of your visit.
Next Steps - Starting Treatment
After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment to get started with braces or Invisalign. Dr. Chiang will review your radiographs, models, and photos in preparation for your following appointment.
These diagnostic records taken in the first appointment are the keys to coming up with the correct, most efficient treatment plan possible for you, your schedule, and your budget.
During this second visit, you will get your braces, Invisalign, or any other appliance that will help you get the smile you’ve always wanted. We will never fail to continue answering your questions during these and additional follow-up visits.

Scheduling Appointments
It's crucial to let Dr. Chiang check your progress about every four to eight weeks. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice, and our friendly scheduling coordinator will assist you.
We want your appointments to be as convenient as possible, so when scheduling appointments, please let us know if there are a day and time that works best for you.
